Acorn Fingerless Mitts Knitting Pattern

Printable PDF file is at the bottom of Post:)

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this pattern.
*Please Note: When working the Acorn Rib stitch and it calls to K the K and P the P, when turning your work previous Knit stitches become Purl stitches in the new row and Vice Versa.
**To prevent the rolling effect on the stockinette side, I have adjusted the pattern to work the last few rows in the Moss Stitch Pattern for a nice finished edge as is seen on the palm side of mitt.

For the love of Yarn!

Well, I did not get much feedback on my first blog giveaway.......but, I will try it again very soon.

I know I have been offline for a while, but I am back on track. Things have been a bit hectic around here lately between my Etsy and what I refer to as my day job. Well, that day job has finally slowed almost to a halt and I have managed to catch up on Etsy orders. Whew! Thank goodness.

I am also getting ready for my first fiber festival in a couple of months. I don't have the details yet on the exact date, but it will be here in Marshall, and I will be sure to post all the information as soon as it is available.

I have been madly spinning yarn on the wonderful top whorl Oak drop spindle I purchased from Spinsanity on Etsy. I absolutely love her spindles. I still have to take some photos of the most recent yarns I finished, but I can tell you that one is a dusty pink 100% mohair, lightly brushed to add a little fuzziness to the finished yarn.

This Mohair was spun from fibers from Natchwoolie on Etsy
Then there is my first attempt at spinning a bulky weight yarn from 100% undyed natural cream colored wool purchased from Smoky Mountain Fibers on Etsy( I still need to photograph this one)

Some fingering and lace weight self striping yarns spun from
100% wool handpainted by The Wool Peddler on Etsy

and I am still knitting and spinning that gorgeous Alpaca/silk blend from Northstar Alpacas on Etsy. I see an Etsy trend developing here:) I will have to upload some new pics of this because I am halfway to finishing this shawl.

I really enjoy Knitting on straight needles and so many patterns I like require dpns, so I thought I would just come up with my own designs to knit on straight needles. My cousin is sampling the patterns to ensure I did not miss anything in the writing, but I am still going to post them here in my blog this weekend as a free PDF download so you can try them out and let me know what you think. Both patterns are for a pair of fingerless mitts. Here are few pics of The Simple Ridged Mitt to whet your appetite!
The Simple Ridged Mitt

I will see if I can get some pics of additional projects I am working on to upload before the weekend is over!

I am off to CO!
