Knitting Thumb Gusset
Place 11 sts from holder onto US2 (2.75mm) dpn picking up 1 additional stitch at the corner
with another US2 dpn pick up 12 stitches along the other edge of opening, including 1 in the opposite corner. Don't worry if there are small holes or gaps created when picking up stitches. These can be stitched closed when weaving in ends.
Total of 24 sts
Divide stitches evenly on 3 dpns (8 sts per needle)
With Coordinating Solid Color Yarn and beginning with the needle closest to the cuff, always working on the outside edge of the gusset, Knit 13 rows, making sure to pull sts tight at corners when moving from one needle to the other to prevent a laddering effect.
